Colour of the Moment: Mustard
Posted: 5 August 2019
This month at Weave our colour at the moment is mustard! Its deep, rich tone is gaining popularity in interiors as individuals are growing in confidence with colour choices throughout the home.
Adding an element of warmth, mustard the perfect addition to everyday neutrals such as grey, black and white. We have chosen to hero the dijon shade of mustard throughout our Graphica range with our Mayer, Aldo & Getty cushions.
Why mustard interiors are trending
Following its resurgence in 2018, the mustard trend continues to soar!
“Mustard, turmeric and honey tones emerge as key accent colours, paired with teal and grey for sophisticated autumnal looks. Acting almost as a golden thread, yellow is delicately employed to enrich intricate illustrations on cushions or given a glossy finish across tableware and décor.” - WGSN
Mustard adds light and warmth to any room and is especially great for those filled with cool tones. Despite its strong association with being an earthy and retro colour, in 2019 we are seeing mustard’s versatility. Mustard is popping up in all styles of interiors from mid-century homes to contemporary Scandinavian spaces.
